These two pictures are of the shrine in my yard with the prayer flag the group made at the dinner on the last night.  Flag made from the tee shirt I was wearing for the woman getting ready for surgery.

Christmas In Pahoa

December 27th, 2011

Mandie and I volunteered at the Pahoa Museum and Cultural Center, helping put on a Christmas dinner for people without families or homes. Joe with Alexus and his three kids also volunteered.

I am pleased to see how willing various individuals and organizations were to help supply the food and equipment to make the event a rewarding experience for everyone.

Jessica And William Japan Fall 2011

Jessica Michibata is an internationally know fashion model who started her career in Japan. Jessica’s father is Argentine and her mother is Japanese. One of Jessica’s goals in life is to help people realize that beauty is available to everyone. Jessica remind people that if you take her different aspect she is not a beautiful woman but that she lives a life of spiritual interaction with all things and she loves and respects herself so people see her as beautiful.

Jessica has read all of my books and went to her publisher with the idea of doing a book with me about beauty from inside to outside. Jessica is an October person. After a meeting on the book we had a big party for her and Yoshy as he is also an October person born on the same day as Jessica.

During one of the interview questions for the book Jessica said that one of the reasons she wanted to work with me happened when she found out that any money that comes from my books is donated to various charities including Ruth’s and my non-profit organization for the rescue and rehabilitation of handicapped dogs.

Kazu (see group picture) is the interviewer for this book. One of the gifts Jessica is holding is one of the “sayings” pictures done by Maaya (see picture). More information about Jessica Michibata can be found on the internet. There is alot of information in English about her.

Kazu comes to many of the events that I participate when in Japan. Maaya is also in this picture and only a few of the people from the lecture. Many people did not want to be in a group photo.

Japan Visit Fall 2011

William and Maaya

One of Yoshy’s clients, Yoshihiro Wakasugi, known professionally as Maaya created the pictures in the background from my book on “Spiritual Says for each Day”. Maaya is a well known drag performer in Japan and has found my books and workshops as valuable tools to help him grow with his career. When I first met Maaya he would not dare to attend any of our events in drag but over the years he has become comfortable with the fact that he is not like everyone else and that what other people think of him does not matter.

Lava Tree Park Orbs – Big Island Hawaii June 2011

Lava Tree Park Orbs - Big Island Hawaii

This picture was taken by one of the people visiting the island on the last group from Japan. We spent a few hours at Lava Tree State Park in Pahoa near my home. When the woman first looked at this picture there was only one orb that she could see. After a few days when she was showing her pictures to friends there were many more orb present.

Orbs are attracted to positive energy, natural things, joy and bright colors.

Denali’s Job

June 14th, 2011

Denali

Denali

Yesterday I was washing clothing and our dog Denali was with me wanting to help.  I was moving clothes from the washer to the dryer and saw movement out of the corner of my eye.

I had just put a shirt in the dryer and saw Denali take it out and drop it on the floor.  I took the next piece and put it in the dryer and she took it out, dropped it and looked at the washing machine.

She saw me take things out of the washing machine and thought that her job would be to take things out of the dryer.  Dogs are like children.  I could not be angry at her because she was “doing her job”.

We human beings could learn so much if we would watch animals and see how they relate to things when we give them credit for being aware and intelligent.

Joey and Papi

Joey And Papi

Joey And Papi finding a safe place.

Many of you have met Yoshy when he would visit. These are Yoshy’s two dogs, Joey, black and white and Papi the smaller brown dog.

During the earthquakes that lasted for more than three weeks Yoshy would take Joey and Papi everywhere he went. Ruth and I told Yoshy that he was welcome to come and stay with us during that difficult time but he would not leave without the dogs. If Yoshy had come here the dogs would have gone into quarantine for a few months and he would not do that.

Yoshy feels about his dogs that way we feel about our tribe, “members of the family”.

We have a group from Japan coming to visit the island later in the month. We will have information about their activities on the BLOG. Yoshy likes to bring people to the island as it gives them a chance to see a different way of life as well as to see me and meet the dogs. Our dogs are well known in Japan.

Arrived Home

May 29th, 2011

Returned from Tokyo on May 23. I enjoy being able to get out and do so many things but it is always wonderful to get home to Ruth, the 8 dogs and my local friends.

Tokyo was a new experience in many ways. I was used to the bright lights, masses of people on the streets and noise. Since the tsunami/earthqake that has all changed.

Electricity is no longer as available and it will be a long time before things return to something close to normal. Going out at night is strange almost like being in a science fiction movie. No street lights but there are traffic lights. Very few neon signs are lit and store display windows are either dark or have only one light.

Streets that were always full of people are almost empty. The good part is that people are much more aware of each other than they were in the past. People have started checking on neighbors, not to interfere, but to make sure that they have everything they need.

I also am impressed with the under 20 age group. In the past most of the young people seemed caught up in their own worlds but now so many are volunteering to help in various ways.

Many people I know in Tokyo are members of prayer groups that focus on sending healing energy to the earth, people, animals and plants in the disaster areas. The interesting part is that the same groups also take time to send positive energy to other countries and since all of the tornados in America they are sending extra healing energy.

Love and blessings,
William

Japan Spring 2011

April 30th, 2011

I arrived at Narita , Japan on April 22. It is always strange for me to depart Honolulu early morning on April 21 but arrive mid afternoon in Narita, Japan on April 22. On the way home I will depart Narita late night on May 23 and arrive in Honolulu early morning on May 23. Time changes is something that I have never been able to comprehend.

All the years that I have been arriving in Narita I have never seen the airport with so few people. Compared to Honolulu is was very busy but compared to past experiences the airport was very slow.

Even checking into the hotel was strange as it is not at all busy since the disaster. One of the desk clerks I know told me that the same is true at all of the hotels in Tokyo.

Kevin Ryerson arrived on the 24 and that evening Yoshy took us to dinner. Driving through the city was a bit like being in a movie. The store window which have always been well lit only have a few dim lights. Busy areas such as train stations and once busy shopping areas have very few people in the streets. It was almost like being in Hilo at night rather than Tokyo. Yoshy said that many people are just afraid to go far from their homes at this time.
